Breakfast Sausage Hash

Breakfast Sausage Hash

Ingredients:

Breakfast Sausage:

  • 1 pound ground chicken, turkey, or venison
  • 1 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons sage
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Breakfast Hash:

  • 1/2 cup cooked cubed butternut squash
  • ½ cup raw peppers diced
  • ½ cup raw onions diced
  • 1 granny smith apple cubed
  • Himalayan sea salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ clove garlic
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients for breakfast sausage and mix well, setting aside.
  2. In a large skillet add oil and garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add in apple, peppers, onions and prepared "sausage". Cook until meat is browned and apple/veggies are semi-soft.
  4. Add in butternut squash and salt and pepper and cook for another minute or two until thoroughly warmed.
