Turkey Sausage

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs ground turkey
  • 3/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 1/2 tsp Himalayan sea salt
  • 1 tsp dry sage
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp black pepper

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, ginger, salt, sage, cayenne pepper, and black pepper.
  2. Divide spiced turkey evenly, and form into 10 sausage patties.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, and lightly coat with plan-approved oil or butter. Cook patties in skillet until browned on both sides, and no longer pink in the center, about 15 minutes.

*HINT: Freeze the left over, cooked patties and warm in microwave for a quick work week breakfast! (Complete the meal with 1 cup fruit, 2 servings of vegetables, and 1-2 healthy fats!)

This recipe makes 10 servings with 1 serving = 1 sausage patty. This equates to one serving having 3 ounces of protein on the IHC plan.
